The Pendry Chicago offers a delightful blend of history and style, housed in a distinguished old banking building. Its impressive exterior sets the tone, while the lively Bar Pendry brings energy to the lobby by attracting both tourists and locals. Rooms are spacious, refreshed, and showcase unique art deco-inspired decor, adding character to the experience.
Arrival Experience
Arrival was slightly hectic, with a long check-in line, but the staff handled the crowd with grace, offering assistance with luggage and water. Check-in was quick and easy. A signature Pendry touch: a complimentary daily non-alcoholic beverage can be enjoyed at Bar Pendry, where a "secret word" whispered to the bartender transforms it into a spiked delight—a playful and memorable perk!
The Room/Suite
Rooms are minimalist and spacious, with comfortable beds and thoughtful design. However, during our November stay, the AC struggled to maintain a cool temperature, making nights uncomfortably warm.
