Cap St. George’s Resort

Overall Stay Impressions

Cap St. George’s Resort offers an impeccable blend of laid-back luxury and Mediterranean charm. Surrounded by olive groves and overlooking the stunning St. George coastline, the resort is a serene escape for couples, families, and groups. The use of authentic Cyprus stone and natural materials enhances the sense of place, creating a welcoming yet elegant environment with curated paths and expansive sea vistas.

The resort features both a luxurious hotel and an exclusive collection of private villas, offering privacy and indulgence for guests seeking a more tailored experience. (Fun fact: Shakira even owns one!) This dual offering ensures that every guest—from honeymooners to families—finds their ideal retreat.

Our favorite spot on property had to be the quiet zone, with full-size loungers under oversized umbrellas overlooking the sea. There’s even a cute bar and coffee cart nearby to keep you hydrated while you relax, listen to the waves, and enjoy a great book.
Pro Tip: Have one of the onsite staff drive you there in a golf cart for a laid-back arrival, or enjoy a scenic walk along the beautiful sea path.

Arrival Experience

Our arrival experience was outstanding. Despite a delayed flight and a very late-night arrival, the team had thoughtfully prepared sandwiches, salads, and an amazing welcome amenity that completely turned our evening around.

Since it was our anniversary trip, we were greeted with a special celebratory touch: a baked chocolate cake, luxurious truffles, a fresh fruit basket, a personalized welcome note, and a bottle of local wine. These details truly set the tone for an unforgettable stay.

The Room/Suite

Our room was a luxurious haven, featuring contemporary Scandi-style decor in soft, neutral tones with floor-to-ceiling windows that bathed the space in natural light. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning, and the private plunge pool felt like our own personal oasis.

Additional highlights included:

  • A rainfall shower and a massive bathtub (perfect for bubble baths).

  • Thoughtful touches like plush robes, locally inspired toiletries, and even shoe polish.

Every detail was designed for indulgence.

Dining Highlights

Cap St. George’s Resort delivers exceptional dining experiences with an array of on-site restaurants offering diverse culinary options (and they’re still expanding!):

  • Kohili: Seaside dining amidst olive trees, with a focus on fresh, local ingredients.

  • Sapori: A trattoria serving exceptional Italian dishes.

  • Bonsai: Contemporary Asian cuisine with teppanyaki stations and a sushi bar.

  • Sky7: Fine dining with panoramic Mediterranean views and breathtaking sunsets.

A highlight of our stay was an incredible mezze lunch by the sea with the resort team. The fresh fish and octopus, caught that morning, paired with olive oil and produce grown right on the property, made for an unforgettable meal. I’m still dreaming about that octopus!

We just missed the monthly Sky7 Chef Experience, where Michelin-starred chefs create exclusive menus for one weekend per month. It’s definitely on the list for next time.

Spa

The spa at Cap St. George’s is a sanctuary of relaxation, complete with a cold plunge pool, sauna, and traditional hammam. The quiet room, perfect for unwinding with tea and a book, is a must-visit even if you’re not booked for a treatment.

The spa menu features a mix of classics and unique offerings, including Shirodhara massage, Indian head massage, and Thai massage—ideal for anyone looking to try something different.

Activities

Cap St. George’s Resort offers an impressive array of activities, making it the ultimate Mediterranean retreat:

  • Water Sports: Snorkeling, canoeing, paddle boat rentals, SUP boarding, scuba diving, and private yacht excursions.

  • Cultural Experiences: Halloumi-making (a must-do in Cyprus!), olive oil tastings, and honey-making.

  • Land Adventures: Quad biking, horseback riding along the sea (a personal favorite), and scenic hikes.

  • Sports Facilities: Professional-grade soccer fields and training areas that even professional teams use for training camps.

For families, the resort is incredibly kid-friendly, with an outdoor cinema, a video game room, and dedicated pools for children.

Bonus: Check out their live sunset cam here to preview just how breathtaking the sunsets will be during your stay.
