Meet Dani

Caught ya daydreaming about your next adventure, didn’t I?? Well, welcome to RLT! My name is Dani and I’m so excited to begin working with you to plan your next incredible journey, wherever in this world it may take you. I grew up a product of the travel industry, witnessing first-hand the passion my mom had for showing travelers the most beautiful (and sometimes unknown) destinations of the world. This passion must have rubbed off on me, because after living in 3 different countries, earning my master’s in international development, and spending almost 10 years the classroom and EdTech, I decided to turn back to my roots to become a travel advisor.

At RLT we truly believe that you, the client, are the painter of your own travel masterpiece, while we are the paintbrush. After getting to know you, your travel style, your “yay’s” and “nay’s” when traveling, I will be the engine that curates your dream vacation, focusing on whatever gets you excited about the destination - whether it’s making homemade pasta with a Nonna in the hills of Tuscany, or swimming with (nice) sharks in the tropical blue waters of the Caribbean.

A little about me: I grew up near the beach in sunny Southern California but today find myself in the hustle and bustle of Washington, DC. Living on the East Coast has given me a new zest for travel, as Europe is just a hop, skip, and a jump away and all of the East Coast hidden gems like the mountains of West Virginia and quiet beaches of Delaware are so accessible! When I’m not planning unforgettable trips for my clients, you can find me trying out the DMV’s latest and greatest restaurants with my fiancé, Connor, or taking a hike on a nearby trail with our dog Maisie. Life is better experienced with a glass of red wine in hand, so don’t be surprised if I ask you what your current favorite bottle is!

I’m so thrilled to begin working with you and to take on this big, crazy, world together, one trip at a time!

What's the most memorable travel experience you’ve had?

Last year, for my 30th birthday, my fiancé and I traveled to Thailand and Vietname. Asia always felt so inaccessible but it was only the long flight that stood in my way of exploring this incredible part of the world. Over the two weeks we were there, we sipped cocktails from our infinity pool on an island oasis, witnessed rescued elephants bathe in the muddy waters of a rushing river, and ate our way through every night market and street vendor we could find (and never got sick!). It was truly an unforgettable way to welcome in a new decade, one that will be filled with even more adventure!

Which destination is at the top of your personal bucket list?

This is like asking a parent to choose their favorite child. I have so many “top” destinations, but right now I’d say it’s a tie between Patagonia and Argentina, and an African Safari. These are wildly different experiences, but I crave the adventure that comes with each.

What do you think sets our company apart in the industry?

What drew me to RLT was the mother-daughter pairing of the small women-led team. I know I couldn’t personally be business partners with my own mom, but I truly appreciate the expertise, respect, and fun that is shared between Debbie and Wallis and Pat and Taylor. Ansley and I are the adopted daughters who are so lucky to be part of this RLT family!
