Cuba with RLT!
Cuba is an AMAZING destination, full of surprises and nothing like what you expect! As a travel advisor in Florida, opinions are mixed and it's a sensitive topic for some. However, the reality is an experience you do not want to miss. The Cuban people are incredibly happy, warm-hearted, and welcoming, inspiring admiration for their spirit, grit, and pride in their individual identities. As a community that supports each other through struggles and successes, you'll find yourself falling in love with their rich history, vibrant culture, delectable food, stunning art, and the iconic, colorful 1950s Chevy Cadillacs.
I was fascinated by the variety of modes of transportation, from horse and buggy to scooters, galloping horses, and working oxen! The food was exceptional, and our partners in the country provided an outstanding experience that immersed us in the daily lives of the local people. They introduced us to the beautiful Viñales Valley and countryside, which seemed as though it were straight out of a movie set. We had the opportunity to roll cigars at a local tobacco farm, enjoy a cooking class, and savor Rope Veja along with black beans and rice that were simply to die for! Who knew I would smoke my first cigar? LOL ;) We stayed at and visited lovely old homes that have been refurbished into gorgeous boutique hotels. And there was no shortage of delicious and plentiful mojitos and various rum drinks!
The eclectic art, happy music, salsa dancing, good food, and friends make Cuba a unique and affordable destination you do not want to miss.
Whether it’s for families, couples, girls' or guys' trips, or romantic long weekends, there is something for everyone, and it's sure to touch your heart. :)
